Cyborg Kama Sutra is Constrobuz—a former producer for Mr. Muthafuckin’ Exquire (also beatsmith of a fantastic jazzy hip-hop tape)—teaming up with Bay-area producer OSØ to remix the shit out of popular/not-so-popular-but-you’ve-heard them-before tracks. The two take on Kreashawn’s “Gucci Gucci”, Usher’s “Climax” and a plethora of others. North Carolinian, “first in flight”, Constrobuz opts to stretch the tracks out by giving them lush, darkened atmospheres—rich, distant pads, sparse percussion and at syrupy slow tempos. OSØ does the damn thing and bumps some synth stabs. Hip-hop/R&B updated by a couple dope producers, what more can you ask for?
